Studio Story

Where the Lake Meets the Soul was inspired by one of the many evenings I’ve spent sitting in front of Lake Michigan, simply watching the sun go down.

There is something about that time of day that always stops me. The sky changes by the minute, the colors deepen, and the lake reflects it all back in a way that feels almost unreal.

I’m always amazed by the painted sky the universe gives us. It feels like a spectacular show—one that asks nothing from us except to stop and pay attention.

Moments like this have a way of putting everything into perspective. Standing beside the lake, watching the sky unfold, I’m reminded how small we really are compared to the vastness of Mother Earth.

That quiet sense of awe is what I wanted to capture in Where the Lake Meets the Soul.
