Weekend Getaway is an imagined escape, a quiet place where two chairs wait at the end of a dock as the day winds down.

I can picture myself sitting there beside someone I love, watching the light change across the water. No schedule. No place we need to be. Just the lake, the evening, and time together.

Maybe that’s why I painted the two chairs. Sometimes the places where time slows are places we’ve already found. And sometimes they’re places, and moments, we’re still hoping to find.
