Your living space should reflect your personality and showcase what you cherish. This painting was inspired by a client's fond memories of Lake Michigan. After selling their home, they decided to commission this piece as a reminder of their beloved summer view. We began by capturing photos and identifying elements that resonated with the client. With a specific location in mind for the painting, we opted for a 48" x 24" gallery wrapped canvas. Drawing inspiration from colors in another artwork of mine that they admired, I incorporated those hues into their piece. Upon completion, a variety of frames were presented for selection. They ultimately chose a white oak floater frame by Larson-Juhl to enhance the painting. This artwork will serve as a meaningful memento of their former home. Each brushstroke on the canvas tells a story, weaving together the colors of nostalgia and joy. The tranquil blues of the lake capture the essence of those serene days spent by the water. The gentle waves and the distant horizon evoke a sense of peace and endless possibilities, much like the client's cherished memories of summers gone by.
As the painting finds its place on their new wall, it will bring with it not just a piece of art, but a heartfelt connection to a cherished past.
Art has a unique ability to transform a space, turning a house into a home filled with personal significance. This painting, with its carefully chosen colors and meaningful subject, does just that. It stands as a testament to the power of art to preserve memories, evoke emotions, and create a sense of belonging, no matter where life’s journey may lead.
