Classic Italian Bruschetta

A simple and delightful appetizer for any gathering! It's one of my top picks—fresh, healthy, and incredibly quick to prepare!

Ingredients:

  • 6 ripe Roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 French baguette, sliced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the diced tomatoes, basil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to your liking. Allow the mixture to rest for 10 minutes to enhance the flavors.
  • Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with parmesian cheese.  Toast them in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
  • Evenly distribute the tomato mixture over the toasted baguette slices.

Serve right away while the bread is still warm.
