How to Commission an original Christi Dreese Oil Painting.

 

  1. Reserve your space on Christi's calendar by purchasing a commission reservation listing for $250.
  3. Email the following details to info@dreesefineart.com.
  4. Name, Address, Phone Number.
  5. Desired painting size (specify orientation: horizontal, vertical, or square)
  6. 1-5 reference photos (if available)
  7. Links to 2-5 Christi Dreese paintings that you would like your piece to be inspired by.
  8. Any additional thoughts or requirements you have for your commission painting.
  9. Colors you love and any you would like to avoid.
  10. Sign the commission contract that Christi sends you via email.
  11. Pay the commission price and shipping fees:
  12. The commission price is listed below and is in addition to the reservation fee.
  13. Shipping is approximately $120 within the U.S. (shipping costs may be higher for larger paintings or for shipping to Canada; customs fees are the responsibility of the collector).  We will send you a shipping estimate once we know the size.
  14. Christi will send you an invoice, which allows you to securely pay by PayPal or with credit card.
  15. Once the commission agreement is signed and paid for, there are no refunds.
  16. Christi will start painting your piece, which typically takes 2-4 weeks to complete.  Drying times may vary.
  17. Christi will send you update photos approximately halfway through the painting process and a final photo upon completion. You can give your approval or request minor edits. Any extensive edits (as judged by the artist) beyond that are subject to a 15% additional fee.
  18. Lastly, your painting will be shipped to you!

Please note the following details:

  • Christi will paint landscapes, florals, and buildings, but not humans, pet portraits, or in a style different than her own.
  • Oil paints on gallery depth stretched canvas are used. 
  • The listed prices below do not include the $250 reservation fee.

24x30”: $1,500
30x30”: $1,850
24x48”: $2,400
30x40”: $2,550
36x36”: $2,700
36x48”: $3,600
48x60”: $6,000

 

Other dimensions above 20"x24” are possible and priced proportionally.

All extra-large paintings (below) will need special attention:

  • They either ship as rolled canvas, and the collector will need to bring them to their local framer to have them stretched onto bars, at an additional expense.
  • Or they can remain fully stretched if you can pick them up in person in Michigan.
